Nor'east Uprising is a nonprofit junior roller derby league for skaters ages 8 to 17. Built by coaches, parents, volunteers, and families who believe roller derby gives young people a place to grow as athletes, teammates, and members of a community.
We focus on skill development, teamwork, confidence, accountability, and competitive growth. We welcome skaters of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels.
Programs & Levels
Progress at Your Own Pace
From first-time skaters to travel-team competitors, every skater has a path forward.
Beginners to Level 1
Skating basics, safe falling, stops, track awareness, core rules. Non-contact scrimmages.
Level 2
Stronger fundamentals, more advanced skills. Some contact introduced.
Level 3
Advanced skating, rules knowledge, body control, teamwork. Eligible for travel team.
Travel Team
Coach-selected from eligible Level 3 skaters. Selection based on skill, commitment, teamwork, sportsmanship, attitude, effort, coachability, and readiness.

Monthly Dues
Simple, Transparent Pricing
Beginners – Level 2
Covers all eligible practices + NEU-hosted home games/scrimmages
Level 3 – Travel Team
Includes travel team eligibility and expanded practice schedule
Start the second Sunday of each month, there is no charge for your first month. Regular dues begin the following month.
